The name for this cocktail is pretty tongue-in-cheek as I often think it’s funny when obviously gluten-free spirits are identified as such. For the drink, I wanted something with the flavor of really good apple pie filling, and I think this delivers.
Ingredients:
- Chakra Vodka Red Apple & Ginger Root
- Licor 43
Instructions:
First, to make the syrup, heat a 1:1 mixture of sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. With the mix at a simmer, add diced red apple (I used a pink lady), a cinnamon stick, a couple of slices of ginger root, 2 whole cloves, and a dash of nutmeg. Stir and simmer for another minute. Cover and turn off the heat, leaving to infuse for about 4 hours. Strain and chill.
To make the cocktail, add all ingredients to your shaker with ice and shake until well chilled. Double strain into a coupe and garnish with an apple slice. Cheers!
