"Son of Flavus | Crafted Pour"

"I spend a lot of time and energy on cocktail creation but I try to be a little reasonable about my alcohol budget. So when I place an order or go to the store, I tend to refine my list to keep it at a certain price range and that means failing to order certain things that I want, sometimes a lot. Italicus got cut from the list more than once but I finally kept it in the cart. Naturally, I was super excited to use it, and built this cocktail to compliment the rose and bergamot notes of this beautiful liqueur. The name comes from the 1st century: Italicus was a chieftan of the Germanic Cherusci and the son of Flavus. Get it? Cool. The Mezcal and Gin combo makes a reappearance here quite soon after my last foray, partnered with Italicus, lime, rose cordial and a fair pour of Scrappy’s Black Lemon bitters. I learned VERY recently that bergamot is like a cross between lemon and bitter orange. This came out delightfully citrus forward with just a touch of savory smoke underneath that I really enjoyed. Cheers to finally hitting that buy button!", "undefined", "Son of Flavus",
