"Can’t go wrong with a classic Clover Club cocktail. Made famous by world renowned mixologist, Julie Reiner, the Clover Club is a pre-prohibition drink named after a Philadelphia men’s group of the same name. The classic version used gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup, and egg whites.

Can’t go wrong with a classic Clover Club cocktail. Made famous by world renowned mixologist, Julie Reiner, the Clover Club is a pre-prohibition drink named after a Philadelphia men’s group of the same name. The classic version used gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup, and egg whites.
In this “rebooted” version, dry vermouth and blackberries were added to deepen the flavor. Less tart, more sweet…absolutely decadent! Hope you enjoy! 🍸
Ingredients:
- London Dry Gin
- Dry Vermouth
Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients, except egg whites, to a shaker filled with ¾ ice.
2. Shake and strain contents to mixing glass (wet shake).
3. Add egg whites to mixing glass contents and shake again, without ice (dry shake).
4. Pour contents into a martini or coupe glass.
5. Garnish and serve!
*For Raspberry/Blackberry syrup:
0.5 parts raspberries
0.5 parts blackberries
1 part water
2 parts sugar
Muddle berries together with sugar. Let sit for about 20-30 minutes. Add the water and stir until the sugar dissolves. Strain through a chinois or cheesecloth.
Note: It is recommended not to boil this syrup on the stove as the berries will cook and change their flavor.
