"Amusical Emergency | Crafted Pour"

"My friend on instagram posted a drink the other day that inspired me toward my absolut(e) least favorite spirit: Vodka. I used to go out to a local bar and get offended if I ordered a gimlet and the bartender asks me “Vodka or Gin?” “What it’s supposed to be, Gin, the best one you have.” And they’d throw some Bombay Sapphire in with off-brand lime cordial and shake it for 5 seconds… Yeah, I know, how pretentious I was. I stick with beer at dive bars now. But I’ve been reconsidering my aversion to vodka lately as well, especially after finding one I truly enjoy sipping neat and in cocktails: Farm Vodka from Garden State Distillery, which is very local and very, VERY smooth. I digress. I was talking with my friend about another crazy drink I was gonna make but also about his “A Musical Emergency”, which you should check out on his page cause he’s really great at coming up with excellent flavor combos, which brings us to my riff here. The first 4 ingredients are the same if different brands, but I didn’t have the gum syrup or grenadine. I did have cranberries; in an effort to get a smoother mouthfeel I went with a 2:1 ratio for the syrup and brought in some Eucalyptus bitters to highlight the elderflower. I’ve written far too much but suffice it to say this was EXCELLENT! Less sweet than my norm for a gimlet but so floral, tart, and tasty. If you got this far thanks for reading!", "undefined", "Amusical Emergency",
