"Somebody posted about the original recipe for a French 75 being made with Cognac over the last couple of days and I’d love to thank them for the inspiration! Of course I couldn’t help but mess a little with the recipe, adding the last of my batch of hibsicus syrup to this delicate and delicious cocktail. I wanted effervescence and simplicity, and subbing the syrup for a flavored syrup didn’t change how, well, simple this drink really is. Wonderful combo with a really nice cognac. Highly recommend!",
