The first drink that I ever posted on my Instagram account was the "Purple Haze” from The Little Black Book of Cocktails: 1 ounce each of vodka and blue curaçao, topped with cranberry juice.
For my first anniversary on the ‘gram, I made an elevated version of it. It’s not truly tiki, but I certainly attacked it with that mindset. The same key flavours stay proportionate, but now it’s properly balanced and wouldn’t be (entirely) embarrassing to put on a cocktail menu.
Ingredients:
- Probitas Rum
- Tito's Handmade Vodka
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice. Open pour into a tall glass and add more ice to fill if necessary. Garnish with a lime spiral and three cherries or cranberries on a pick.
