The Singapore Sling is a classic tiki cocktail. However, I also don't think it's very good. It also contains two ingredients that are rarely used in other cocktails, cherry herring and Benedictine.
so I sought out to create a riff on the Singapore Sling with ingredients that any respecting tiki bartender should have.
Ingredients:

London Dry Gin
-
Cognac
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients, except soda water, into a shaker with cubed ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds. Pour club soda into chilled Collins glass. Open pour the shaker into the glass. Top with more club soda, if needed. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a skewered cocktail cherry.
