"Turnpike Sour | Crafted Pour"

"This is another drink created by my quest to prove that New Jersey has rightfully earned its nickname of "The Garden State". The Turnpike Sour may be named for NJ's most known highway, but the ingredients pay homage to two of the state's more scenic bounties: apple orchards and cranberry bogs.   I like to make my own cranberry syrup by simmering equal parts (by weight) cane sugar and water along with macerated cranberries for anywhere from 1-10 minutes. Then I allow the whole thing to cool for at least 30 minutes before straining the solids out.   While the lemon and cranberry flavors add a lot of tartness, the cocktail finds its balance through the mellow apple brandy, sweetness, and creamy egg white.", "A vibrant and tart sour that marries apple and cranberry.", "Turnpike Sour",
