"Sometimes I wonder how far a drink can stray from a classic recipe before you have to change the name as well. Take this Strawberry Rhubarb Sunrise. It’s evolved with the seasons starting as a true sunrise riff with Blood Orange for winter, straying a bit with carrot in the spring, and now this summer variation. What makes it a sunrise now you ask? Nothing. The only common denominator is tequila. Do I think anyone will notice or care? No. Does the drink sell better given its recognizable name? Probably. ",

Sometimes I wonder how far a drink can stray from a classic recipe before you have to change the name as well. Probably.
Ingredients:
- Tequila Blanco
- Strawberry Purée
Instructions:
I usually batch the syrup*, pineapple juice, and puree together for more streamlined service. Top with soda water for a lighter, less sweet version. Serve in Collins glass.
*Rhubarb Syrup: shave or finely chop 2 stalks of rhubarb. Add to container with white sugar and mix with equal parts boiling water.
