"This is a really fun and delicious riff on a Mai Tai that keeps the formula in place but subs out the rum(s) for Avua’s brilliant Oak Cachaça and compliments that with some oak smoke action. I also used a new to me triple sec, Garjardo, and though everyone who knows me knows I’m a big fan of dry curaçao I absolutely loved this orange liqueur here. I tend to keep my orange liqueur at 1/2 oz per Mai Tai or Margarita so to have the flavor be so prominent without being overly sweet was incredible. The balance here was absolutely on point with the funk of the cachaça mellow and tinged with oak and honey notes. Mingling perfectly with a light oak smoke aroma, the bright lime and nutty orgeat this was really delicious",
