Inspired by the Original “Harvey Wallbanger” cocktail. I created an elevated, mouth-gasm experience with Homemade Orangecello, Smoky Mezcal and complex herbaceousness with the combination of Galliano and Tequila
Ingredients:
- Tequila Reposado
- Mezcal
Instructions:
Pour Tequila, Mezcal, Galliano, simple syrup, and Orangecello into a cocktail shaker with one ice cube. Shake until ice cube is dissolved. Pour contents into a Sal De Gusano (or Tajin) rimmed collins glass. Add ice, leaving an inch so that you can top off with club soda and Lime Wheel.
Homemade Orangecello
2 cups Everclear Vodka
6 Navel Oranges
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
Wash oranges, and let dry. Peel each orange and place peels into a jar with the Everclear Vodka and set aside for 48 hours. Place sugar, water, and juice from the oranges into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir to dissolve sugar. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and let cool before placing in the refrigerator. After 48 hours, strain peels from vodka and combine with orange-sugar syrup. Store in refrigerator until use.
