Having overused creme de violette to make a nice Violet Lady or two it was time to see if it could be used with tequila and some liquorice salt to go towards a Margarita style cocktail. Viola goes very well with lemon so the lime was replaced with that.
This is a nice substitute to a regular Margarita if you want to spice things up flavor-wise. As a bonus you’ll get that pleasing blue color for that nice presentation.
Ingredients:
- Tequila Blanco
- Lemon Juice
Instructions:
Salt the rim of the glass. Add all ingredients except the salt in a shaker with some ice. Shake to chill then serve.
