"The office Christmas party is approaching and I’ve been nudged by several co-workers to serve something tasty. Finding something Christmas-y that isn’t a “too much Christmas” but rather a cocktail that would suit well without having to stick to just the winter holidays has taken up my mind for some time.
The other day I started playing around with some ideas and I think the result is pretty darn nice! With the gin, bitters and cinnamon syrup we get lots of nice herb flavours and with the spiced ice cider (I used a new Swedish ice cider called Ember Ice Cider) and lemon juice we get some apple and citrus tones. Garnishing with a star anise we also get a pleasant initial aroma before our first sip.

Ingredients:
- Star Anise
- Egg White
Instructions:
For the cinnamon syrup I used roughly half a smashed cinnamon stick for every 1dl water and 1dl sugar.
Add vodka, gin, cointreau, ice cider, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup and egg white in a shaker and shake to work up a nice froth.
Add ice and shake to chill the drink. Double strain, add a few dashes of bitters and garnish with the star anise.
