"Madame Flurrie | Crafted Pour"

"...Perhaps if I grabbed you and gave you a little sugar?", says a voice through the thick of Boggly Woods. You feel a chill run down your spine from a sudden gust of wind. As you turn around, you see a purple cloud wearing makeup. The cloud seems to give you a hug, and you feel put at ease. The Character I don't know about you, but if I were a living cloud my first thought wouldn't be to doll myself up with makeup. Unless my reputation had previously been some prolific actress starring in an innumerable number of hits including the re-enactment of the story of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Yes, I guess then I would want to look my best, and then retire to a forest where small tree-derived creatures call home. And then as soon as someone comes a-knocking on my door telling me that they've found my lost neck accessory, I would proceed to leave my retirement behind, go for an adventure, and then go back to acting again. AND, if I did all that, I'd have re-enacted Flurrie's character arc in the game itself. Not too shabby, you diva. Quite captivating indeed! Inspiration Flurrie's cocktail came to me rather easily. She quite literally looks like a living piece of cotton candy, so that took care of the garnish. To me, wind evokes a feeling of chill, and the chillest ingredient I know of is mint. The way that mint sort of cools the mouth embodies what I imagine it would be like to be able to blow a tempest out of my mouth capable of whisking my enemies away. I had once created some cotton candy vodka for my Dearest as a part of a stream featuring 'Sickeningly Sweet' libations of our collective creation. Flurrie also goes by 'Madame Flurrie' which gives an air of pompousness. Of diva-like qualities. Of almost royal proportions! It felt natural to take the cotton candy and mint flavor and top it off with something bubbly like in a Royale cocktail which uses prosecco or Champagne! Workshopping Honestly, I thought this would be as simple as copying the recipe for a Kir Royale, but modifying it with some cotton candy and mint. I was kind of wrong. Turns out that the mint flavor from creme de menthe, really doesn't play too well with the cotton candy vodka. Despite how sweet the vodka was (which we made by dissolving a bunch of cotton candy in vodka) the mint flavor overpowered it. Originally I had made this with club soda and kept increasing the ratio between the cotton candy and mint components. I eventually settled upon the 4:1 ratio of flavored vodka to creme de menthe and I allowed my Dearest (who's an aficionado when it comes to sweet things) to try it for me two ways: topped with club soda, and topped with prosecco. I was shocked to find that the addition of the sparkling wine, with its notes of minerals, citrus, and cream, complexified the drink. With club soda, no matter how little mint I added, the whole drink seemed to always taste like it was a stick of wintergreen gum. Adding the prosecco seemed to push back against the mint component, allowing for the sugary flavors of swirled candy twine to showcase amidst the flavor of mint. Flavor Analysis This cocktail's got a sparkling sweetness to it with an aftertaste similar to the flavor of bubblemint gum. The true balance of flavor depends on your choice of prosecco or Champagne, and the amount of cotton candy that you add to your vodka (if it's not already pre-bottled).", "undefined", "Madame Flurrie",

Ingredients: - Cotton Candy Vodka - Creme De Menthe Instructions: Grab a snifter glass and add ice cubes. Add cotton candy vodka, crème de menthe, and top with champagne or Prosecco. Garnish with a turf of cotton candy making sure it doesn’t make contact with the liquid (or it’ll melt!) If available, add a red-lip skewer or a set of wax lips. Then as you kiss the cocktail, she can kiss you back. Themed,Sweet,Fizzy,Spritz
