"I was sent a link and promptly ordered to make some Dirty Shirleys prior to a visit from a couple of friends. The link was to ELLE Magazine (the Swedish site) and they reference a NY Times article calling this the drink of the summer of 2022 so why not try it out. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser which you build directly in the glass (yeah, you would want to stir it before drinking it or get a sugar rush from the grenadine.)
It’s a very pleasant and refreshing cocktail and very suitable for a hot summer day. It’s definitely a sure bet if you have lots of guests and want to serve something that most people will enjoy.

Ingredients:
- Vodka
- Grenadine
Instructions:
Pour vodka, lime juice and grenadine in glass then fill up with either ginger ale or Sprite then garnish with a maraschino cherry or two on a skewer. I wrapped some lime peel as well.
