I’m not exactly sure when I jotted this one down, but I think it started as a lighter Jungle Bird riff or something. I kept the name and the Aperol, but otherwise moved on.
The end result is a bittersweet back with classic tiki flavours coming out in front. However, since none of them are in any predominant quantity, the drink comes out with a serious depth of flavour that remains light on the palate.
Ingredients:
- Black Blended Rum
- Blended Lightly Aged Rum
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a drink mixer tin. Blend for 5 seconds. Open pour into a tiki mug or other appropriate vessel. Top with more ice. Garnish with a mint sprig bouquet, orange slice and swizzle stick.
