Christmas Cheer
By The Flippin Mixologist,
It’s officially Christmas break, I’m finally away from students and get to enjoy Christmas with my family… but I have a 102 fever. 🤒
Anyway, I’ve been making adrenal cocktails for my wife lately- good for fatigue and dehydration, however you feel on the topic- and I have been wanting to adapt it to include alcohol- so here it is. A cup of Christmas Cheer that makes me think of the Christmas parties of my youth and not about the 40 degree, rainy weather outside or the fact I can barely get off the couch.
Ingredients:
- Aged Rum
- Orange Juice
Instructions:
Mocktail
5 oz orange juice (as unprocessed and natural as you can get)
5 oz coconut water
Dash of real sea salt
Cocktail
2 oz aged rum (I used Barbados rum)
4 oz coconut water
4 oz organic orange juice*
2 squirts (about 20 drops) saline solution
For the Mocktail, add to your glass and stir well, with or without ice.
For the cocktail, shake everything with ice until well-chilled. Strain over ice and garnish as you see fit.
*If you like your drinks a little sweeter, add a half oz of simple syrup or use a sweetened orange juice.
