"Dragon Eggs | Crafted Pour"

"Just before the new school year, we camp at Perkins Park in Big Bay. When we camp, we make “Dragon eggs”, so-named because my girls, niece, and nephew thought they looked like dragon eggs sitting in the fire. We always soak the orange innards in booze for an adult treat later. This time, I made a cocktail. Thank you to @carefree.spirits.distillery for the @chakravodkas ! It is incredible and a perfect base for this tasty treat! Ingredients: - Chakra Vodka (Non-Flavored) - Sweet Vermouth Instructions: Dragon Eggs 6 medium or large oranges One box brownie mix Treat oranges like a pumpkin at Halloween- take off a cap at the stem end. Using a paring knife or your clean pocket knife, cut a cone out as deep as you can. Throw these into a sealed container and cover with about two oz of vodka or gin per orange. We added a handful of fresh blackberries we picked in the campground, too. Mix brownies as per package directions and fill oranges. Put the cap back on and wrap in tin foil. Throw the oranges into the coals of your fire, turning occasionally. After about 10-15 minutes give them a look. You want your oranges to brown- not blacken- on the outside. Dragon Egg Cocktail Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until cold. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass. Now get out your smoker- need that campfire essence! I used oak wood for it. Smoke for a few moments, remove, and top with one of your soaked orange innards. Enjoy! Refreshing
