Gingerbread Martini

This indulgent treat is part desert, part cocktail, and all yummy. The gingerbread syrup is easy to make as it is just a simple syrup with ginger.
Ingredients:
- Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur
- Vanilla Vodka
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a martini glass. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed gingerbread cookies or grated nutmeg. Garnish with a gingerbread man.
For the gingerbread syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
One 2-inch (5 cm) piece of fresh ginger, cut into smaller pieces.
Combine ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature.
Strain ginger pieces out before using.
