"My Funny Valenthyme | Crafted Pour"

"“Meet me, O friends,
where there is neither darkness nor light,
neither the wild thyme unseen nor the wild strawberry.
No this, no that.
No am, no is.
No I, nor you.
Just radiant love true.” - T. S. Eliot I have a busy February- my wife’s birthday, the anniversary of me asking her out in early high school, and Valentine’s Day- all within a two-week span. I got strawberries the other day so I could make Ella her favorite birthday breakfast- strawberry crepes. I had some of the beautiful strawberries left over, so I started playing with them- the lovely heart shape, the beautiful red color, the sweet and tart flavor play. From that play, I built this drink- “My Funny Valenthyme”. Vanilla is one of the flavors that just feel like Valentine’s to me. From there, the sweet, round silky mouthfeel and herbaceous notes of Dented Brick’s gorgeous barrel finished gin. The herby, viscous flavor of Lillet Blanc. The enhancing capabilities of insanely versatile The Bitter Truth’s Black Cherry Bitters. All of these flavors and layers created a beautifully complex and layered flavor profile that captures the intricacies of love. The bitter and the sweet. The bright and the dark. The highs and the lows. That’s what this holiday is about- celebrating your love and knowing that the good times will always outweigh the difficult times. Thank you to my friends at The Bitter Truth and Dented Brick for sharing their incredible products with me.", "undefined", "My Funny Valenthyme",
