The release of Appleton 17 isn’t without controversy.
But it’s said that it replicates the flavor of the original 17 year old Wray & Nephew, so I had to try it.
Thanks to my old teammates at Wusong Road I was able to get my hands on some, so of course I had to make a mai tai with it.
Ingredients:
- Appleton Estate 17 Yr
- Dry Curaçao
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into a shaking tin with pebble ice. Whip shake for 5-8 seconds. Open pour into a double old fashioned glass. Top with more pebble ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel. Serve with a straw.
