"Dragon Ice | Crafted Pour"

"My last visit to Yokohama, Japan was in the summer, and it was hot. I am talking surface-of-the-sun kind of hot. I thought if I went sightseeing early that I would beat the extreme heat, but I was wrong. The temperature reached a humid 90 degrees by 10am and I was in Hell. My water bottle was empty, my energy was empty, and my stomach was empty. Just when I thought I was going to pass out, two women came out of a shop and helped me inside. The air conditioner felt amazing (a rare treat in Japan). The women offered me some water and a cool towel for my neck. As I regained my senses, I realized I was in an adorable cafe that served iced drinks made with various fruit syrups. They all looked amazing, but one really stood out. Dragon fruit lime ice. The deep magenta color just looked refreshing and cool so I ordered it. Having never tried dragon fruit before, I had no idea what to expect. It was sweet, slightly tart, and the perfect beverage to bring down my core temperature to normal. I inhaled that drink so fast that I got brain freeze. It was worth it. Thanking the incredibly kind women, I paid and made my way back to the hotel for a nap. Those women saved my life that day, I will forever be in their debt. I can’t wait to go back to thank them again…and to get another iced drink. Cheers!", "undefined", "Dragon Ice",
