"It’s time for #SoundtrackMyFriendsDrink Volume 11, organized by @soundtrackmydrink . For this round, we had to create a drink around a song that was selected for us based on our own profile. @larixlarincina gave me “Animal Spirits” by Vulpeck & Vulf for, well, pretty obvious reasons 🐈‍⬛ 🎶 I wasn’t familiar with this song or the artist before, but it’s such a fun one! The song is very upbeat and danceable, boasting some falsetto and sparkly keyboard action. The lyrics tell a “true love story” with a healthy dose of astrology, which Alex must have seen I’m a fan of: “And she's got/Animal spirits/And he's got/Heartfelt lyrics/Put them together and you can hear it/It's the way the story goes/Now everyone seems unaware/That these two are a destined pair/But I checked out their astral chart/This one is a work of art” 🎶 I decided to do a riff on “Tiger’s Milk” from TIKI by @shannonmustipher (which is an essential bar book), served in slightly different but highly complementary highball glasses. The base is a delicious coconut-washed @ewingyoung rye, and I added some @jumpinggoat coffee liquor to make sure an actual animal spirit was included (besides Archie).
