"Bible Belt | Crafted Pour"

"The Cowgirl Hall of Fame opened in NYC in 1989, featuring Texas-friendly service, food, and killer margaritas. This version of a whiskey sour called the Bible Belt must have been an early feature on their menu. As a member of The Crafted Pour's Tastemaker Program, I have the opportunity to try many different spirits for my cocktails, and recently I had the chance to try a Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey from Ruddell's Mill, which is a perfect substitute for the Jack Daniel's that this recipe originally called for. At 96-proof, this whiskey packs a bit of a punch that is sweetened with the high corn mash bill, and mellowed out a bit with a touch of wheat. Aged a minimum of 3 years, it was perfect in this long version of a whiskey sour! Thank you Crafted Pour and Ruddell's Mill for the chance to try this whiskey! The drink itself is pretty straight forward: equal parts whiskey, sweetened lime juice, and sour mix, with half a part of triple sec. The frosted rim was a nice touch, and while I was initially afraid that this would be too sweet due to the lime juice and triple sec, it was well balanced with the sour mix. The whiskey was quite smooth, and if I ever get the chance to travel to NYC, I'm going to order this one from the source; it is quite a refreshing drink! Cheers", "undefined", "Bible Belt",
