"Island Mai Tai | Crafted Pour"

"Though you may have heard of the Mai Tai previously, one may not be familiar with the supposed "original recipe" from which this cocktail evolved! To be fair, I'm only taking this as the Mai Tai's original recipe because a book told me it was. If I were more of a historian, perhaps I'd try to fact check it 🤷‍♂️ Regardless, this particular build is cool because of the gradient from the top to the bottom of the drink. As the ice melted, the flavor changed as the dark rum slowly mixed with the juice & white rum combo that sat at the bottom of the glass. Experts would say that a molasses-forward dark rum float would be most appropriate here, however, I had already chosen the Gosling's bottle and wasn't about to shift away to grab the Myer's, so here we are! Definitely one of the better recipes for this that I've had in quite a while, however, I don't exactly remember my last Mai Tai (I blacked out at a sand bar and made a mess on the ride home because of it 😅), but I've got a feeling this one was the better one.", "undefined", "Island Mai Tai",
