"Continuing our Artist Cocktail Series with Vincent Van Gogh. Famous for Post-Impressionism, Starry Night depicts van Gogh’s view from the window of his asylum room at Saint-Remy-de-Province, just before sunrise, with the addition of an imaginary village. Not sure how Vinny stayed up all night but I like to think he was mixing up some espresso martinis. Perhaps he washed the glass prior with some absinthe, loosening up his imagination. This riff on an espresso martini is my attempt at tying it all together. Espresso to stay awake. Absinthe to jump start the imagination. And blood orange to pay homage to the blood moon seen the night j made this cocktail.
