This drink is a Manhattan riff built around a red wine barrel-aged whiskey that brings in some nutty, rich sherry and spice-forward, bitter Fernet Vallet. Along with some cola notes from a root beer syrup, this one is deceptively complex yet familiar.
Ingredients:
- Two Eagles Prospect Reserve Whiskey
- Sweet Vermouth
Instructions:
The syrup is made by redeucing root beer by ~50% and adding white sugar (7:5 ratio soda to sugar by weight) and stirring until dissolved.
Stir all ingredients with ice until chilled. Strain into glass, garnish, and enjoy!
