"Milk & Cereal | Crafted Pour"

"We never had sugar cereals in our house. We only had corn flakes, granola, and Raisin Bran. Sometimes we would have Rice Krispies, but that was just for making party treats so that didn’t count. Now, we DID have sugar cereals on our houseboat, which may be one of the reasons we would beg to go to the boat every weekend in the summer. Those mini boxes of cereal were like Halloween in July; we kids just plowed through them like sugar-crazed animals. Unfortunately, the mini boxes didn’t include one of my favorites - Lucky Charms. Those yellow moons, orange stars, green clovers, and blue diamond marshmallows could only be found during sleepovers at friend’s homes. When I was in college, I was in awe of the cereal dispensers in the cafeteria full of sugary goodness, including my beloved Lucky Charms. Not gonna lie - I used to smuggle a quart-sized baggie magically delicious cereal back to my dorm room at least once a week. It made for the perfect study snack. Now that I am WAY past college, I can have sugar cereal whenever I want. Thing is, outside of the occasional splurge, my cereal cabinet looks pretty similar to my childhood one. Raisin Bran Crunch and Special K Chocolatey Delight instead of Corn Flakes. There is also a box of Lucky Charms, because I’m an adult and I can eat what I want.
