"Firing Pin | Crafted Pour"

"Welcome Home is a vexing book to thumb through when looking for a cocktail that you have everything on hand to make it but I found this one and was sold. Subbing out for an availible Mezcal, and lightening the load of hot sauce due to the heat of the ginger syrup, otherwise this is a faithful reshake of Scott Teague’s mojito-mai tai mashup (though I have to say I vehemently disagree with that description). This is a delicious and beautiful sipper, and I haven’t done a lot of practicing with layering so this piqued my interest for that reason as well. Allowing the Campari to slowly combine with the other ingredients gives it an evolving character excellent for drinking but terrible for shooting, but I managed to snap a good picture fairly quickly. I love the combo of mezcal, orgeat and ginger, with the extra bit of heat from the hot sauce balanced with a bit more lime. Overall, seems super tasty, and maybe I’m on a bit of a spice kick right now to fight back against winter weather. And the taste thing, but this was the best flavor I’ve gotten!", "undefined", "Firing Pin",
