For World Rum Day I wanted to make a special Mai tai with a special rum, one that supposedly mimics the flavor of the original 17-year-old Wray and Nephew rum that was used in the first 1944 Mai Tai by Trader Vic.
Ingredients:
- Wray & Nephew 17 Clone
- Orange Liqueur
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into a shaking tin with pebble ice. Shake for 5-8 seconds. Open pour into a double old fashioned glass. Top with more pebble ice. Garnish with a spent lime shell and mint sprig.
