Fortunately for me, my hot cocktail glasses are big chonky boys, so tonight's drink is a double! For Christmas, my brothers each got me Bourbon, one from Detroit and one from California. The California Bourbon was aged in wine barrels, and the Detroit one is aged twice in toasted oak barrels. I was somewhat concerned about the wine barrel aging of the California offering, so I opted for the Detroit version.
The Detroit City Distillery Toasted Barrel Straight Bourbon made for a delicious hot toddy! It paired well with the lemon juice and boiling water and definitely stopped the snuffling! This is a fantastic hot toddy! Cheers!",
