"Word Up | Crafted Pour"

"As a teenager, my friends and I would look forward to Teen Night at The Cosmopolitan, or The Cos as we called it. Kids from all over Cleveland would fill the club on Sunday nights to see and be seen. I was never much of a dancer so I would just hang with my group of girls as well watched the guys poppin’ and lockin’ to the latest dance music. Every once in a while, we girls would venture onto the dance floor to do our 80’s girls dance standard - side step, side step, shoulder shake, arms arms arms. If you know, you know. My musical taste leaned toward the Depeche Mode, Yaz, and Pet Shop Boys, but I did like some of the R&B/Pop crossovers. Word Up by Cameo was a fun one because the lyrics were easy and the beat made it easy to casually dance and be silly. At 11:00pm sharp, the lights would come up and the bouncers would begin herding us to the exits. Hot and sweaty, we’d spill out into the parking lot to our cars laughing (or crying depending on the drama of the night). Good times with good friends. Ah, to be young and silly again. Cheers!", "undefined", "Word Up",
