Ill let them explain it to you - “Pizza Pie’Chuga- Inspired by a relatively obscure spirit produced in southern Mexico, we decided to put our own twist on it and partnered with one of our favorite pizza makers. White whiskey gets infused with sun-dried tomato, garlic, basil , pepperoni and whole slices of pizza before being re-distilled.” For Cartoon Cocktail Saturday, this one hit me like a lighting bolt. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meet cocktail of their dreams - a pizza flavored cocktail that has no business being as good as it is. This Michelada riff takes pizza pie’chuga and pairs it with citrus flavors to play on the acidity you get from tomato’s and brings a savory citrus sipper that would shell shock any Bloody Mary and send it packing. This was such a fun challenge to make something with such a unique product. Ingredients: - Orange Juice - Grapefruit Juice Instructions: Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice (minus the beer). Shake to chill and pour into a tall glass.
