"I made a batch of this really delicious syrup for my Paeia Mai Tai, and now I’m looking for more drinks to use it in. This one’s simple, but layered and delicious nonetheless. Served super frosty, it was perfect on this warm Sunday evening. Named for the British steamship that carried the first wave of Spanish labourers to Hawaii for work in its burgeoning sugar industry. Recommended Brands: •Plantation Grande Réserve •Cruzan Single Barrel Royal Hawaiian Oleo Recipe: •1 1/2 cup chopped pineapple •peel of one lemon, chopped •peel of one lime, chopped •peel of one large orange, chopped •sugar (approx 375g) Combine pineapple and peels in a large bowl. Weigh it, and cover with an equal amount of sugar by weight. Stir to combine. Cover and let rest for up to 24 hours, stirring regularly, until all sugar has dissolved. Royal Hawaiian Oleo Recipe:
•1 1/2 cup chopped pineapple
