"Eeyore's Requiem | Crafted Pour"

"When looking for cocktails to test out a new ingredient, I usually come across something new and exciting to try out (or make it up myself, you know me) but THIS cocktail name is burned into my brain. The worst part? I DON’T REMEMBER WHY! I came across it on Imbibe while searching for what to do with my new Dolin Blanc and I KNOW I’ve never owned a blanc vermouth, so it’s not like I’ve ever made it. But I feel like I’ve had one, a riff on one, an in-depth conversation about one but I’ve wracked my brain and can’t associate why. I now realize it was in Brad Parsons Amaro book, but still don’t think that’s why it’s so stuck. Anyway, and obviously, I had to make this, because it fit the bill and, c’mon, Cynar and Fernet, can’t go wrong. This drink ain’t subtle and my favorite part is the orange bitters, because so many people would say “Cynar Fernet and Campari? It’s bitter enough” and they would be wrong. Good for you Toby Maloney! But Campari tastes too sweet to me sometimes so there’s that. Anyway, I excersised restraint here by not subbing anything out and I’m glad I didn’t: this is a great drink as is, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, though an ounce and a half of Campari is a bit much in my opinion. Hopefully I think of why this cocktail seems to be a core memory cause I’m still stuck on that", "undefined", "Eeyore's Requiem",
