"Uncle Val's Soliloquy | Crafted Pour"

"While working our way through every gin we could get our hands on, my friend and I discovered that our favorite Last Word had a base of none other than Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin. As soon as I heard of the Zest for Life competition I knew I’d be making a riff of my own on this classic cocktail with the delicious and citrusy Uncle Val’s Zested Gin. Deciding to veer off course from the equal parts recipe, I kept the ratios of gin, Green Chartreuse and lime juice the same, while adding in dry curaçao to compliment the citrus notes in the gin and really focus on the orange flavor. The touch of Luxardo Marischino keeps the intense flavor of the original toned down but bolstered by a delightful pineapple gum syrup to blend the familiar sweetness with an unexpected but welcome note of pineapple. The anise of the absinthe completes the cocktail with a wecoming warming aroma. While complex, this variation on the Last Word exemplifies my zest for expirimentation, crafting cocktails and life! Cheers!", "undefined", "Uncle Val's Soliloquy",
