"Coffee and Cake | Crafted Pour"

"This cocktail is an homage to all the times my mom would ask “Is it time for coffee and cake?” at family birthday parties and everyone would sit down and enjoy coffee and dessert, usually including my favorite: crumb cake! Combing the elements of classic crumb cake with Mr Black, possibly the best cold brew coffee liqueur on the market, wasn’t my first idea for this competition but turned out perfectly. Incorporating their Mezcal Cask release into a flip style cocktail also wasn’t my first thought but definitely worked out even better than expected. Taking it to the next level is the unorthodox split base of Rye, Aged Jamaican Rum and Mezcal. The cinnamon spice notes of the whiskey, the spiced vanilla funk of the rum and the gentle smoke and earthiness of the mezcal all meld perfectly with the the Mezcal Cask Coffee Liqueur which brings a smokey coffee sweetness to the drink; they all pair with brown sugar vanilla syrup and a heavy dose of Angostura Bitters. The addition of a bit of melted salted butter adds another heavy layer to the full egg template and tames the bitterness just a touch. This drink has such creamy, delicious mouthfeel that’s beyond incredible! Beautiful memories helped me to craft this drink so cheers to nostalgic cocktails!", "undefined", "Coffee and Cake",
