"Forever and a Day | Crafted Pour"

"Continuing with my reshake-arama I found this recipe on the incredibly talented Yelena’s (@cocktail.vision) page. I liked this recipe because, well, I had the ingredients (she’s the queen of weird fruits, which I love, but don’t always like to seek out fresh Durian) but also because it was very open ended. Rum or Rye, Spiced Rum, Amaro: not super specific, which isn’t my personal style, but perfect to use what you got to make an incredible cocktail! This was super delicious, another one straddling the season with spices yet still having plenty of summer vibes. I really enjoyed picking my own poison so to speak, and decided to infuse the already amazing Plantation XO with Cinnamon to get the spiced rum vibe without sacrificing quality. Ramazzotti fits perfectly here with it’s berry and cacao notes subtle underneath the aged rums and lime/orgeat combo. Scrappy’s Black Lemon bitters are super interesting: a mistranslation from forever ago. Black lemons are actually dried limes, but Scrappy’s reverses it and actually uses lemons with other smokey and spice notes. The bitters accentuate the citrus and slight amaro bitterness and add a touch more spicy complexity to this cocktail, with a touch of nutmeg (subbed for tart cherry juice powder) adding some warming deliciousness. This is a slightly different drink than Yelena’s, but I think that was a the point", "undefined", "Forever and a Day",
