Brain took this daiquiri variation and studied the cocktail setting the stage for this reworked deliciousness.
In our version we replaced the Hamilton 86 with Tiki Lovers dark rum. We also did a rum compressed pineapple for garnish.
Ingredients:
- Appleton Signature Blend Rum
- Ron Del Barrilito 3-star Rum
Instructions:
Build
Shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into a Zombie-sized tiki glass filled with crushed ice, then garnish with a mint sprig, cherry, orange slice, lemon slice, lime slice, rum compressed pineapple wedge, and parasol.
Don's Mix
Bring 3 crushed cinnamon sticks, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a boil, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Simmer for two minutes, then remove from the heat and let sit for at least two hours before straining into a clean glass bottle.
To finish the mix, add 1 part of the syrup to 2 parts fresh grapefruit juice. Cover and keep refrigerated for up to two weeks.
