"The Redemption Palmer | Crafted Pour"

"A few critiques I got from judges of some competitions, both I agree and disagree, but I’d never forget. I actually listen to judges critiques because look at what queens on Rupaul’s drag race do. Queens that listen to judges critiques do well every week. “There is too much yuzu juice in the drink though. If you need more acid to balance the drink, next time work on maybe doing yuzu and lemon together, Yuzu is such a prominent flavor and tends to overpower subtle flavors like green tea.“ “Mint is irrelevant. You can just not have garnish.” I actually did play around with ratio of Yuzu juice and Lemon juice after that critique. Yuzu juice, in fact, was a bit too much. It has the bitterness like grapefruit but sourness like lemon, but its flavor is pretty overpowering. I came to a conclusion that yuzu will always somehow overpower Sencha green tea, so I added matcha to balance it out. Did you know it’s actually incorrect to say “matcha green tea”? Because the “cha” literally means “tea”?? So when you say matcha green tea, you’re saying “matcha green tea tea”. I was flabbergasted when I heard them say “mint is irrelevant” but didn’t have other alternative ideas for aromatic. But since @chakravodkas does have MINT in this amazing flavored vodka, I’m going to go ahead to use it both in the cocktail and as a garnish. Has anyone ever gave you critiques on your cocktails that you absolute agree or disagree? ", "undefined", "The Redemption Palmer",
