Chocolate Shavings

Thin curls or flakes of chocolate shaved from a bar (dark, milk, or white), used to top dessert-style cocktails (chocolate martini, espresso martini, mudslide, mocha) for visual contrast and an aromatic chocolate note. Applied with a fine grater or vegetable peeler against a baking bar; lifted with tweezers or toothpick to avoid melt.
