The new (to me at least—but newer than the original three) Dark Tickle berry sauces are proving to be a real treat in the garage. I had a lot of fun with the garnish on this one, which—along with the name—was inspired by the delicious crowberries that star here. Paired with a locally bottled rum, and one that is locally beloved, classic fruit and spice flavours make for a downhome twist on the classic Planter’s Punch template. Combine all ingredients in a drink mixer tin with 1 1/2 cups of roughly crushed ice. Flash blend, then open-pour into a tiki mug or other appropriate glassware. Garnish with an upside-down spent lime shell, with an umbrella or flag speared through the middle, and a cinnamon stick telescope propped up on a piece of mint sprig.

A Planter's Punch riff with a strong sense of place. Rich Demerara rum and dual citrus form the base, but hyper-local crowberry syrup adds a unique, tart berry depth.
