As part of Old Fashioned Week, I set myself the task of creating two Old Fashioneds a day for each day. This one was created while brainstorming and thinking about going to a local coffee shop for coffee and a baked good. I hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients
- 1/2 ozSimple Syrup
- 3 dash(es)Cocoa Bitters
- 3/4 ozKahlua
- 2 ozBourbon

Add simple syrup and bitters to glass and stir. Add Kahlua and combine. Add ice and bourbon and stir until cold. Use a frother to whip up the milk. Pour and spoon the frothy milk over the top of your drink. Enjoy!

A dessert-style Old Fashioned inspired by the Portuguese coffee, Galão. Bourbon and Kahlúa form a sweet coffee base, capped with a layer of rich, frothed milk.
