Add all ingredients except the float to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled glass filled with crushed ice. Float the aged white rum on top. Garnish with kiwi slice and mint sprigs. *Peel 2 golden kiwis and cut into chunks. Add kiwis, 1 cup water, and 1 cup sugar to small saucepan and bring to simmer for 10 minutes. Cool and strain.

Golden kiwi syrup brings a bright, tropical acidity to this Mai Tai riff. Denizen's Merchant's Reserve provides the necessary backbone to stand up to the fruit and orgeat.
