A fun and vibrant cocktail dating back to the late 1800’s. This would have been a popular drink at the turn of the century in the Caribbean at popular resorts. The pale green color is very fitting for the tropical vibes this cocktail gives and is gorgeous. At the time the green hue would have mostly come from the Absinthe. I’m assuming bright green Crème de Menthe didn’t exist in the 1890s. Being such an old cocktail finding an exact recipe is hard to nail down. That being said give this cockt...

- 1 1/2 ozWhite Rum
- 1/3 ozOverproof Rum
- 5/6 ozBG Reynolds Falernum Tropical Cocktail Syrup
- 1/2 ozLime Juice
- 1/6 ozAbsinthe
- 1/6 ozCrème De Menthe

In a glass 2/3 filled with crushed ice, add all ingredients. Swizzle or churn with a bar spoon. Top with more crushed ice. Garnish and enjoy. Topping with a few dashes of Angostura bitters is also widely popular.
