This Rob Roy variation is named after a famous Japanese Outlaw who stole gold and valuables to give to the poor. After a failed assassination attempt on a warlord, he and his son were boiled alive.

Editor's Note
Tawny port stands in for sweet vermouth, lending nutty, dried fruit notes to a delicate Japanese single malt. Plum bitters tie it all together in this sophisticated Rob Roy riff.

This is a beautifully composed riff! The choice of Japanese whisky with the Tawny Port sounds like a fantastic pairing.
