This drink is said to have been invented at the Hotel Nacional in Havana, Cuba, by the same bartender who created the ‘El Presidente.’ The original didn’t have the maraschino liqueur that was added to the recipe in Harry Craddock’s ‘Savoy Cocktail Book.’

Editor's Note
A Havana classic that balances tropical pineapple with the distinct, nutty profile of maraschino. The aged rum provides a necessary depth to this elegant, fruit-forward sour.
