We were looking to expand the barriers of martini craft by introducing more non-traditional flavors and techniques by using Thai ingredients and a shrub in a martini.
Ingredients
- 0.75 ozPineapple, Coriander, Lemongrass Shrub
- 2 oz
- 0.25 oz
- 2 dash(es)
Tools
Martini Glass
stirring spoon
mint julep strainer
stirring glass
Instructions
Garnish
Build
Glass
Estimated strength
Dehydrated pineapple and frond
Stir & Strain
Nick & Nora
About 23% ABV (estimate)
Add all ingredients. Stir and strain into a Nick and Nora glass.
Editor's Note
A bright, herbaceous shrub elevates this martini riff, adding layers of lemongrass and coriander to a crisp gin base. Saline solution ties the tropical notes to the classic structure.

That shrub sounds incredible. What is the procedure for making it or is there a brand you recommend?
