Time for a classic twist on an even greater classic favorite of mine. One of my favorite cocktails is a Manhattan and the Waldorf takes that classic and adds the characteristic herbal notes of Absinthe. From the little research I’ve done the original recipe created in the early 20th century at the Waldorf Hotel in New York City called for equal parts. The more modern specs call for a rinse of Absinthe.

Editor's Note
A bold, equal-parts take on the classic Waldorf. Barrel-aged absinthe adds a deep, oak-kissed herbal complexity that transforms the traditional Manhattan template.

I think you made the right choice with the barrel aged Absinthia. sounds absolutely incredible. I definitely want to try this with the old specs.
