Here is a low-Abv Zombie riff, created in October 2023. A crushable, and complex Zombie riff using Mommenpop Grapefruit Aperitif as the base.

Ingredients

2 oz
Mommenpop Ruby Grapefruit Aperitif

.5 oz
Lime

.5 oz
Rich Cinnamon Syrup

.25 oz
Hamilton Jamaican Pot Still Black

.25 oz
Saint Benevolence Haitian Clairin

1 dash(es)
Angostura Aromatic Bitters

1.5 oz
Brut Champagne

1 drop(s)
Absinthe

Instructions

Garnish

Mint sprig

Combine all ingredients except champagne into a cocktail shaker. Whip shake. Strain into a large highball glass. Fill with ice, top with champagne, and garnish with a mint sprig. Spray absinthe on the mint.

Editor's Note

A low-ABV Zombie riff that swaps high-proof rum for grapefruit aperitif. Jamaican and Haitian rums provide the necessary funk, while champagne adds a crisp, effervescent finish.
